This year, our union is working on setting up a system of union stewards. The role of the steward is to help keep their coresidents informed about what the union is up to, answer questions about the contract, and keep an eye out for problems in their department that a union could help with. While the responsibilities of a steward aren’t typically very time consuming, stewards are very important for making our union strong and keeping our members informed. If you’ve been looking for a way to get more involved with the House Officers Union, this may be what you’re looking for!

We’ll be having a meeting on Tuesday, November 1 at 7:30pm that is open to anyone who might be interested in becoming a steward and would like to learn more about it. If you’d like to join us, you can register for the meeting at the link below.
