Doug Preston, MD, PhD, is a third-year Pathology resident, and serves as interim HOU president.  He initially became involved with the HOU as a steward during his first-year, focusing on fairness and wanting to give back to the HOU.  Seeing the impacts of COVID and economic inflation on resident wellness, he joined the bargaining and leadership teams.  His goals are to improve resident livelihoods and make OHSU a better place to practice through the upcoming bargaining process, establish more effective relations with management, and give voice to a growing membership.
